I am on the board of directors for ‘A New Day,’ and also work in Child Protection.

I would like to join the coalition as an individual, however I do work at The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa.
I have completed the Online training for Human Trafficking through both Ontario and British Colombia.
The relevance to my work is that I work directly with victims and potential victim of Human Trafficking.

I am an individual who is passionate about creating awareness on this issue and I am also in the beginning stages of doing research to produce a documentary on this issue and how bad it is in Canada.

It took me a very long time to become public with my website and even my ‘tip of the week’, as a huge part of me was afraid of being recognized from back then. I pushed through that and here I am. I was a bit nervous to even let you know this yet again I pushed through and here I am. My ‘tip of the week’ this week was on the awareness of Human Trafficking now available on my website and Youtube along with my social media sites that again took me a very long time to create as well.
You are my closet Coalition unless there is one in Peterborough. I will NOT be able to attend meetings due to the distance and the anxiety I get from driving in Ottawa. Letting me be a member is your choice yet where else do i go to join one closer????? I have taken the on-line training with helpingtraffickedpersons.org and completed it.

I am a private contractor who has worked within the Inuit community in both Nunavut and in Ottawa since 2011. I have worked women’s shelters, youth drop in centre’s, child protection, community agency providing individual and family support and case management. The risk of HT is very apparent for Inuit women and I have witnessed it first hand. Not many people are aware or willing to discuss this issue within the community but it is happening. The girls are at such risk due to long standing neglect and lack of resources that they are often targets for HT. I have a strong passion for the community and how it relates to Human trafficking.

I am the new executive director for A New Day/New Beginning. We are in the draft stages of our organization. Jodi Mosley is one of our executives on our Board of directors and suggested that I join and attend the next Coalition meeting in September.
